Purchasing and Payment
- Place selected items in the basket. While making your selection, items can be deleted from the basket. After you have made your final selection, confirm it.
- Be sure to accurately enter your personal details in the order form. If you are placing an order on behalf of a company or organization and you need an invoice, please specify the details on the delivery address page. The Vilnius Pilgrim Center is not responsible if the ordered goods are not able to reach you or the organization/company you specified because of incorrectly entered information.
- Choose the delivery method.
- Before confirming your order, please carefully read these purchase and sales rules, then confirm your order, and you will be redirected to Stripe payment system (for card payments) or Opay payment system (for e-banking and other methods). After confirmation of the order, a confirmation letter with details of the order will be sent to your email inbox. After receiving confirmation of payment, the Vilnius Pilgrim Center will begin executing the order.
Delivery Methods and Prices
- Pick up from the Vilnius Pilgrim Center (Dominikonų Str. 6, Vilnius), or St. Faustina‘s House (V. Grybo Str. 29a, Vilnius) during business hours at no charge;
- Delivery to LP Express drop boxes: €2.49;
- Delivery by Lithuanian Post (in Lithuania): €2.49;
- Delivery by Lithuanian Post (outside of Lithuania): from €7.99 to €12.99, depending on the country (exact price will be shown during the checkout).
Guarantee and Return Policy
- Defective goods can be returned or replaced at the expense of the Vilnius Pilgrim Center. Contact us at: shop@cityofmercy.lt, or by phone at: +370 677 21591;
- Merchandise may be returned within 14 calendar days of receipt in accordance with applicable legislation. Contact us at: shop@cityofmercy.lt. Returned merchandise must be unused, undamaged, and in its original state. The cost of the return is the buyer’s responsibility.
Rights and obligations
1. General provisions
1.1. These Rules for the Purchase and Sale of Goods (hereinafter – Rules) is a legal document binding on the Buyer and the Seller and sets out the rights, obligations and liability of the Buyer and the Seller when the Buyer is making a purchase online in the shop shop.cityofmercy.lt (hereinafter – Shop).
1.2. The Buyer in these Rules means any person who makes a purchase in the Shop or uses other services of the Shop. The Seller is Vilnius Pilgrim Centre (legal entity reg. No. 305627846, address Dominikonų Str. 6, 01131 Vilnius, tel. +370 677 21 591, email shop@cityofmercy.lt, bank account No. LT827044090102785301).
1.3. The Seller reserves the right to amend or supplement the Rules at any time, taking into account the requirements of legal acts. The Buyer shall be notified thereof on the website of the Shop. The Rules effective at the time of placing an order shall apply to the Buyer making a purchase in the Shop.
1.4. The following persons shall have the right to make a purchase in the Shop:
1.4.1. Natural persons with full legal capacity, i. e. persons at the age of majority whose capacity has not been limited by judicial proceedings;
1.4.2. Minors between 14 and 18 years of age only with the consent of their parents or guardians, except where they can dispose of their income independently;
1.4.3. Legal entities;
1.4.4. Authorized representatives of all of the aforementioned persons.
1.5. The Contract between the Buyer and the Seller shall be deemed to have been concluded from the moment when the Buyer orders goods in the Shop, provides a delivery address, choses a payment method and, having familiarized with the Seller’s Rules, pays for the goods.
2. Personal data protection
2.1. When ordering goods, the Buyer must indicate the Buyer’s personal data necessary for proper execution of the order: first name, surname, delivery address, telephone number and an email address.
2.2. By accepting these Rules, the Buyer gives his consent that the Buyer’s personal data specified in Paragraph 2.1 shall be processed for the purposes of the sale of goods and services in the Shop and for the purposes of analysis of the Seller’s operations.
2.3. The data provided by the Buyer (first name, surname, email address, telephone number, and address) at the time of placing an order are used only for the execution of the order and cannot be used without the Buyer’s consent for other purposes or be transferred or sold to third parties which are not related to the Seller’s direct services. The Seller does not collect the Buyer’s login data to the payment system because this data is not available to the Seller.
3. Rights and obligations of the Buyer
3.1. The Buyer shall have the right to purchase the goods in the Shop in accordance with the procedure laid down in these Rules and in other sections of the Shop that provide such information.
3.2. The Buyer shall have the right to cancel the purchase and sale contract with the Seller by notifying the Seller in writing thereof (by email, indicating the item to be returned) within not later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the delivery date of the item, unless the contract cannot be cancelled according to the provisions of Article 6.22810(2) of the Civil Code of Lithuania.
3.3. The Buyer may exercise the right specified in Paragraph 3.2 of the Rules only if the item has not been damaged or its appearance has not been substantially changed and it has not been used.
3.4. The Buyer undertakes to accept the ordered goods and pay the agreed price for them.
3.5. If the data of the Buyer changes, the Buyer must notify the Seller thereof without delay.
3.6. By using the Shop, the Buyer agrees with these Rules for the Purchase and Sale of Goods and undertakes to comply with them and not to breach the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.
4. Rights and obligations of the Seller
4.1. The Seller undertakes to provide all conditions for the Buyer to use the services provided by the Shop in due manner.
4.2. If the Buyer tries to undermine the stability and safety of the Shop operations or is in breach of the Buyer’s obligations, the Seller shall have the right to limit or suspend the Buyer’s access to the Shop without any warning.
4.3. The Seller undertakes to respect the Buyer’s privacy right to the Buyer’s personal information provided when placing an order.
4.4. The Seller undertakes to deliver the goods ordered by the Buyer to the address provided by the Buyer.
5. Placing an order, prices, and payment
5.1. The Buyer may make purchases in the Shop 24/ 7. The Seller shall take no responsibility, if the Shop is unavailable at any time of the day for any reason or in any jurisdiction.
5.2. Prices of the goods are indicated in euros, excluding VAT, because the Seller is not a VAT payer.
5.3. The Buyer undertakes to pay for the goods immediately via the Opay or Stripe payment system. Execution of the order starts after payment for the goods has been made.
6. Quality guarantee
6.1. The details of each item sold in the Shop are indicated in the description of the item.
6.2. The Seller shall not be liable if the color, shape or other characteristics of the item in the Shop may not match the actual color, shape and size of the item due to the characteristics of the monitor used by the Buyer.
7. Return and replacement of goods
7.1. Any defects of the goods that have been sold are rectified and the faulty goods are exchanged and returned in accordance with the provisions of Articles 6.22810 and 6.22811 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania. Money for the returned goods shall in all cases be refunded only to the Buyer’s bank account.
7.2. In order to return an item(s) according to the requirements of Paragraph 7.1 of the Rules, the Buyer may do so within 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the date of delivery of the goods to the Buyer, by notifying the Seller thereof using the means of contact provided in the “Contacts” section of the Shop and specifying the name of the item to be returned and the reason for return.
7.3. When the Buyer returns the goods, the following conditions must be met:
7.3.1. The item to be returned must be in the original packaging;
7.3.2. The item must not be damaged by the Buyer;
7.3.3. The item must not be used, it must retain its commercial appearance (labels must not be damaged, protective film must not be torn, etc.) (this paragraph does not apply in the case of a faulty item);
7.3.4. The item must be returned in full set as the Buyer received it;
7.3.5. The purchase document must be provided when the item is returned.
7.4. The Seller shall have the right not to accept the goods returned by the Buyer if the Buyer fails to comply with the procedure for returning goods set out in Paragraph 7.3.
7.5. When the Buyer returns a wrong item or poor-quality item and/or a faulty item, the Seller undertakes to accept such goods and replace them with equivalent suitable goods.
7.6. If the Seller does not have the suitable item in stock for replacement, the Buyer must refund the Buyer the sum paid.
8. Liability
8.1. The Buyer is fully responsible for the accuracy of the personal data provided by the Buyer. If the Buyer fails to provide accurate personal data, the Seller shall not be liable for the consequences arising from it and shall have the right to claim direct damages against the Buyer.
8.2. The Buyer shall be responsible for his actions performed when using the Shop.
8.3. The Seller shall be exempt from any liability in the cases where the loss arises because the Buyer, regardless of the Seller’s recommendations and the Buyer’s obligations, fails to familiarize with these Rules, although such opportunity was provided to him.
8.4. If the Shop provides links to the websites of other companies, institutions, organizations or persons, the Seller is not responsible for the information or activities of these websites, and does not supervise, control or represent any companies or persons.
8.5. In the event of any damage, the guilty Party (the Buyer or the Seller) shall compensate the other Party for direct losses.
9. Marketing and information
9.1. The Seller may, at its own discretion, initiate various promotional campaigns in the Shop.
9.2. The Seller shall have the right to change the terms and conditions of promotional campaigns, without a separate notification, as well as to cancel them unilaterally. Any change to the terms and conditions of promotional campaigns or cancellation thereof shall be valid from the moment of any such change.
9.3. The Seller shall send notifications to the Buyer by the means of communication specified in the Buyer’s order.
9.4. The Buyer shall send notifications and questions using the contact details specified in the “Contacts” section of the Shop.
9.5. The Seller shall not be liable if the Buyer fails to receive information or confirmation messages due to any malfunction of the internet connection or email service.
10. Final provisions.
10.1. These Rules for the Purchase and Sale of Goods have been made according to the laws and legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.
10.2. All disagreements arising in connection with the adherence to these Rules shall be settled by negotiations. If the parties fail to agree, the dispute shall be settled in accordance with the procedure set out in the laws and legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.
